June: The month of TCG releases!

For TCG fans, June is a month to look forward to. Several major expansions and new sets for popular card games are being released in a short period of time. From magic and pirates to digital heroes and classic fantasy worlds—this month has it all. Here’s a look at the major releases that you absolutely can’t miss.

Whispers Beyond the Maze – Altered

The Altered expansion expands the game with new mechanics and creatures from familiar mythologies. Whispers Beyond the Maze is the last expansion to Beyond The Gates, the first Altered set. After this, another larger set will be released that potentially introduces new heroes. This Friday is the release of this set!

Reign of Jafar – Lorcana

This expansion of the Disney TCG Lorcana expands Illusions, further the lore is expanded with 20 cards and new characters from the Disney Universe are introduced in the Lorcana TCG. June 13th is the release event for this set!

OP11 – One Piece

In OP11 the cards revolve around the Whole Cake Island Arc. You will find many cards from the Big Mom Pirates and the Vinsmoke Family. The set also introduces new leaders with unique effects. Of course the set also comes with new Parallel Gold and Silver cards. The pre-release is tonight at the Gameforce, so sign up quickly!

High Seas – Flesh and Blood

In the new Flesh and Blood set they introduce 2 new classes: Pirate and Necromancer. Furthermore the new mechanic Allies is introduced and a new interaction with your graveyard by the new watery grave keyword.

Destined Rivals-Pokemon

The Pokemon TCG has seen a huge spike in popularity over the past year. And with Destined Rivals, this will not change. With popular characters like Giovanni with Mewtwo, Ethan and Ho-Oh and not unimportantly, Cynthia and Garchomp, Destined Rivals will also be a highly coveted set. On June 7th there is a casual league at Gameforce!

Mercurial Heart – Grand Archive

Grand Archive is growing rapidly, especially with the addition of the new Mercurial Heart set. This expansion introduces new classes to the TCG and promotes creative decks with lots of interaction.

Final Fantasy – Magic the Gathering

The absolute highlight of this month is the arrival of Final Fantasy in Magic: The Gathering via the Universes Beyond line. This set brings legendary characters, locations and spells from the world of Final Fantasy to the MTG format. Fans of the game series and MTG players alike are eagerly awaiting this unique crossover.
